Welcome to our Winter Season 2018/2019!
Dear Members and Friends!
Another autumn is upon us. We hope you have enjoyed the summer as well as a holiday. Maybe some of you, like myself are still looking forward to a holiday? Once again, by law, we have to have a general meeting. Our usual events are coming up, including Vienna’s English Theatre, with their short but excellent version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The 4th trip to “Britain” for the Austrobrits is planned. You may have noticed that the “Pancake Race” is missing from the programme. Easter and naturally, Shrove Tuesday / Faschingsdienstag are also late in 2019, meaning that a Pancake Race will start our summer season 2019.

• 4th Trip to Britain:
Sunday April 28th 2019 to Bristol where we will stay for 5 nights. As usual this gives us 4 full days in the area before flying back on Friday 3rd May. One day will be spent each in Bath, in the Cotswolds, South Wales World Heritage site ( coal mining / iron works) at Blaenavon and of course in Bristol. The Bristol tourist office tells me that the gardens will be very pretty at this time of the year. The day in Bath will start at Prior Park Landscape Garden which gives us a magnificent view over the city. |
