Autumn is here again and with it our new programme. We have been very busy putting together what should prove to be an interesting programme, which we hope you will enjoy.
GENERAL MEETING
Wednesday 24th October 18.00-19.00
( If you have any points for the Agenda, please submit them to the Secretary by Monday 22nd October, at the very latest. )
Our Society rooms will be open as always every Tuesday from 16.00 until about 18.30, unless it is a school holiday. Come along for a chat and browse through our large collection of books, videos and DVDs. Tea, coffee, soft drinks or even a glass of wine are always available, for a token price of €1, and very often there is a piece of cake as well.
From 17.00 Conversation with Yasmin Bitugu and Poetry Café with Andrew Milne-Skinner continue alternately on Tuesdays as usual.
On the programme among the specials you will find Vienna’s English Theatre performing in Congress for us ( A Portrait—Dorian Gray). Reduced tickets for Quadriga Consort’s concert (Schaurige Lieder und Balladen von den Britischen Inseln) have been made available to the society as well as for the Scottish Folk Night at Blumenpark Seidemann. For garden, plant or just flower- lovers the well - known author Gerda Walton will be giving us a slide talk---from Cornwall to Scotland. Hazel and Andrew will end the programme’s specials with Liverpool, past and present.
