Dear Member, Dear prospective Member,
Autumn is here and with it our new programme. We have been busy putting together what should prove to be an interesting programme.
Our Society rooms will be open as always every Tuesday from 16.00 until about 18.30, unless it is a school holiday. Come along for a chat and browse through the library—our large collection of books, videos and DVDs. Tea, coffee, soft drinks or even a glass of wine are always available, for a token price of €1, and very often a piece of cake as well.
From 17.00 Conversation with Yasmin Bitugu and Poetry Café with Andrew Milne-Skinner continue on alternate Tuesdays as usual.
On the programme among the specials you will find a visit from Vienna’s English Theatre, the Christmas Party with a buffet and Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and the Burns Night. There are a number of talks, as well as one Social Evening on Oct 19 with a chance to meet up and to recap on our many events. One talk, Nov 16, will be given by a member who has recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.
Do come along and join us as often as possible. Programme updates and/or alterations will be found on our website (www.austrobrits.org) and at the Society Rooms.
